The Coachella Valley Historical Society, Inc. maintains an archive depository. History from the entire Coachella Valley is included. From newspapers and magazines, to business licenses and photographs, the archives house over 100 years of history.
Internship opportunities are available for college students. Researchers are welcome. Please contact the Museum with requests for historical information or opportunities to conduct research in the archives. Scheduling is done on an appointment basis.

To request historical information or opportunities to conduct research in the archives, please complete the form below. Please note that visits to the archives are done by appointment only to ensure that one of our archivists is available to assist you during your visit. Visitors to the archives must be accompanied by an archivist.

Submit Your StoryYour artifacts are part of the story of the Coachella Valley. Donate your family or business photographs, documents, and heirlooms to our Archives for preservation so future generations can see what is was like to live in the Coachella Valley today. We are looking for photos of everyday life, Halloween photos, turn-of-the-century items, newspapers, letters, report cards, pins and other knick knacks from local stores, campaign banners and posters, photos of people working in agriculture, and photos and documents from the 1970s through to today. If you’re interested in donating to the Archives, submit your information for our archivists to review.
