Visit the museum during regular hours to see the Ofrendas created by local artists and residents for el Día de los Muertos. "Ofrendas" are altars created to honor deceased loved ones, welcoming their spirits back during "Día de los Muertos" (literally translated to the "Day of the Dead").
These elaborate altars feature a variety of symbolic items, including photographs, favorite foods, water, candles, marigolds, sugar skulls, and copal incense, each with a specific meaning intended to guide and please the visiting souls. Every year, the Ofrendas displayed at CVHM are unique, beautiful, and full of eye-catching details.
