EXPLORE Junior Historians is a dynamic afterschool program designed for children in grades 3 to 5 who are curious about the world around them.

Through hands-on learning students learn about the history of the Coachella Valley and the earliest explorers that helped shape our community.

What Students Will Experience

The Coachella Valley History Museum provides children with a unique opportunity to explore local history through engaging, hands-on experiences right here at the Museum. Each class combines learning, creativity, and fun.

Registration Information

Registration Fee: $50 per child.
Includes snacks and all materials.

To register and pay online or offline, see instructions below.

Online Registration

Register your child for Junior Historians through our convenient online form. Simply click the link below, complete and submit the online registration form, and tap the "Online Payment" button at the bottom of the registration form to pay online. Please note that both the completed registration form and payment must be submitted before your student can be enrolled in the program.

OPTIONAL: When paying online, there is an option to add $2 to your payment to help us cover online processing fees. Choosing this option allows Jr. Historians to retain the enrollment amount of $50 for program supplies.

Offline Registration

To register offline: Download the registration form below and email the completed form to Jr. Historians Director, Sara Waters, at jr.historians@cvhm.org. Or mail it to Coachella Valley History Museum at 82616 Miles Avenue, Indio, CA 92201.

To pay offline: Pay by phone with a credit card by calling the museum at 760.342.6651 during business hours. Pay by check made payable to “Coachella Valley History Museum” and mail it in with a copy of the completed registration form to Coachella Valley History Museum at 82616 Miles Avenue, Indio, CA 92201.
