Junior Historians

Junior Historians Returns to the Coachella Valley History Museum

We are excited to welcome young learners back for another session of our Junior Historians program this fall!

Designed for 3rd through 5th grade students, Junior Historians offers an engaging, hands-on experience where children can explore local history, discover the museum's collections, and participate in fun educational activities that inspire curiosity and creativity.

The first 10-week session will be held on Tuesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., beginning September 15 and concluding November 17. Classes meet once a week, providing students with the opportunity to dive into history through interactive lessons and projects.

Session Schedule

The Junior Historians program is led by Sara Waters, Program Director, who is dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences that help students connect with the rich history of the Coachella Valley.

Families interested in enrolling should complete the required registration forms and submit them via email to jr.historians@cvhm.org and michele@cvhm.org.

We are grateful for the generous support of the Anderson Children's Foundation, whose grant helps make the Junior Historians program possible. Their commitment to youth education allows us to continue inspiring the next generation of historians and lifelong learners.

We look forward to another exciting season of exploration, discovery, and hands-on learning at the Coachella Valley History Museum!
